Patrick and I have lived in Grapevine for over 30 years. From the beginning we fell in love with Grapevine and made a commitment to being involved in business and civic endeavors to promote our city. Three of our four daughters graduated from high school here in Grapevine and our granddaughter is currently enrolled at Colleyville Heritage Elementary.

I have co-owed a business in Grapevine, served on multiple city and civic boards and have a vested interest in helping keep Grapevine great for generations to come.

Experience does matter.

After 32 years of service, I retired from Delta Air Lines in 2005 as an executive in InFlight Service. As a Corporate Director I led a team of over 14,000 US based flight attendants, managers, schedulers, and trainers. I was accountable for the department’s overall job performance, federal safety standards and customer satisfaction metrics.

My leadership strengths are in business development, strategic planning, project management, promoting effective communication within teams, marketing, sales, and customer service.

As a Corporate Director for Delta, managing my division’s budget of over $1.2 billion gave me a very strong financial background. I was instrumental in helping lead our company through two airline mergers and the financial crisis and re-structuring following September 11th.

After retiring from Delta I joined Premier Bank Texas in Grapevine and served as a bank officer until 2012.

Now, I want to devote my full time focus to helping lead our city.

My extensive business and leadership experience as well as the many years I have lived and worked in Grapevine are critical success factors for the role of a City Council member. My goal is to vigorously participate in the discussions at the Council level and make positive contributions to the decisions that will shape the destiny of our city for many years to come.

We live in the greatest hometown in the world and we want to continue the progress while protecting what we have built here and cherish!

We all agree Grapevine is the best hometown in Texas and has so much to offer all of us. Can it be better? Of course – even the BEST can always get BETTER! That’s why I want to be part of our City Government – to help preserve and protect what we’ve built here and hold dear yet continue strategic and thoughtful progress that will ensure Grapevine remains a successful and vibrant city.

I want to be part of those discussions and decisions that affect each and every one of us. I will work diligently to keep you informed of what we are doing and accomplishing at City Hall and I want to encourage a renewed interest in civics and how our local government works with our citizens and especially our students. I believe my experience, my commitment and my voice will make a positive difference for Grapevine.

What do I want to work on as your City Councilman?

  • Parking in downtown along Main Street is a big problem for our merchants, our visitors and our citizens who want to shop and eat downtown. We need to continue to look for solutions and help ease this growing problem.
  • We need to continue to push for the rail system to connect Grapevine to DFW Airport, Dallas, Ft. Worth and other cities. We can’t pour enough concrete to solve our growing traffic issues so rapid transit is vital to our area.
  • We need to continue to support our Police and Fire Departments to ensure they have sufficient resources and personnel to meet the demands and repercussions of thousands of tourists visiting our city each year and continue a pro-active approach to keeping our citizens safe.

  • We need to continue to partner with the Administrators and Educators in the GCISD to ensure we maintain the highest levels of educational excellence possible.
  • We need to maintain our commitment to the development and maintenance of our award winning parks and recreational areas for all our families to enjoy.
  • And finally, we have limited open land left in Grapevine so we want to make sure we are making the right decisions on how we develop the remaining acreage.

I would greatly appreciate your support and your vote in this important election. I hope after you’ve read about my business experience and record of service here in Grapevine you agree that EXPERIENCE DOES MATTER!

I strongly encourage you to make the effort to get out and exercise your right to vote and have a say in what happens in Grapevine. Early voting begins on Monday, April 28 at the Grapevine Convention Center and Election Day is Saturday, May 10.

Let’s work together to keep Grapevine great!
